My Brother’s Keeper (MBK) is a call-to-arms initiative focused on improving the life conditions of boys of color, including Latino boys. This brief is a response to that call. Latino children in general, and Latino boys in particular, lag behind their white peers on important indicators of later workforce success, such as educational attainment and academic achievement. Although some of these differences can be attributed to socioeconomic disparities, research also indicates that Latino boys lag behind their female counterparts across many outcomes.
